Second Life Fashion from ReadMeri | The Unicorn Queen

Unicorn Queen

I was down the pub one day and this guy sidles up to me. I can’t lie, he looked shifty and he was most definitely up to something. He looked around to see if anybody else could hear him and said ‘You look like the kind of girl up for a good time’.

Images flashed through my head one after another – me dousing the man with my lager, – me dousing the man with a single look, – me staring at the man until he spontaneously combusted… but of course, I did none of these things.

I stuck my nose in the air and replied ‘Seriously?’ with a bit of a sneer.

‘Oh now,’ said he ‘don’t be getting sniffy. I’ve a once in a lifetime opportunity for the right woman’.

Oh, I just bet you have, I thought. I took in his none-too-clean hair, his eyes swiveling madly like Eagles Eyes Action Man and his strangely pointed ears. I didn’t reply.

He pulled aside his coat and instead of seeing what I expected to see (an unimpressive bulge in his shabby jeans) I saw a small slightly-glowing orb which was strangely also huge. My eyes looked around, into and through it and it pulsed with a faint light.

‘I really wasn’t expecting that’ I said.

He rolled his eyes, ‘Well no… it’s a unicorn orb, with it you’ll have the power to call them to you and ask them to do your bidding. Mind though, they won’t do anything evil’

‘How much?’ says I, familiar with pub parlance. ‘Score’ says he. I glance at the football on the TV perplexed. ‘Fooks sake woman, twenty quid’.

I paid the man and he suggested I didn’t touch it with my bare skin until I was ready to call forth the power of the unicorn. Of course, I didn’t believe him for a second, it was some kind of battery operated Mathos blimp, but it was pretty and buying it meant he’d go away.

And that’s the end of the story,

or the beginning.

Dress | Blueberry Breeyana Dress – Transparent Fatpack Exclusive [Mait/2Sli/3Bell] (Blueberry Mainstore : Blueberry Marketplace)

Blueberry’s Breeyana Dress almost broke SL. Oh yes, if I’ve seen 10 ladies out and about in this dress already, I’ve seen 11. I know that isn’t sounding ever so impressive, but believe me, this is the dress of the hour, day, week, month and possibly the year. For starters, the rigging is great on this long frock, and if you have had long frocks before, you know how important that is. Secondly, there are so many options in the fatpack in terms of transparency, colour, etc. For instance, you can have a non see-thru top and a lace skirt, you can have it all lace, you can have it all solid. I don’t normally suggest you fatpack, but in this case, it’s practically obscene if you don’t – cus you don’t get the full lacy ones if you don’t 😮

Here’s Blueb’s Blurb… “Opaque and half transparent versions come in 1 purchase. The fully transparent version is exclusive to the fat pack. This dress comes in 24 regular colors, 6 fat pack exclusives (gold shine). The completely lace option and gold colors of the laces are exclusive to the fat pack.”

Oh and the golds… the only reason I didn’t go for gold is that the unicorns see that as the colour of new life and might think I was pregnant… yeah, I know, bless them.

Some practicalities worth mentioning include that the dress comes with a walk animation built-in, but a non animated version is included too. Also it comes with panties and a HUD for those too.

RunAway’s new hair – Fiona – is for We Love Roleplay which opened on the 5th. I went for a change this time with the Grayscales HUD, which runs from black to white and through some greys in the middle. I felt massively girly in it and kept throwing my head side to side (cus I’m worth it).

And finally, finally, a few more make-up appliers from those wonderful Powder Pack designers. Zibska triumphing with their unusual colours for lipsticks and Pink Fuel with a wonderful, delicate and yet dramatic set of eye make-ups. Lush. If you want this pack it’s not too late. You can get it for 3000l$ from the Powder Pack marketplace, or simply pre-buy the April pack which is due out soon! It’s important to note that there are packs for Lelutka and Catwa now… I’m showing you the Catwa releases, (cus I don’t have a Lelutka head!) and the packs are not the same. Each will have different items in for each head.

Here’s a few more pics including a ‘well lit, no shit’ shot…

And finally, here is my jigging for the rigging video, taking it gently today so as not to scare the wildlife

    • Haha, oh that’d be great. I still enjoy going for a beer though, even when there are no unicorn orbs involved. Thanks Boudicca x

  • What Boudicca said! Gorgeous story… love the added scholarly touch about unicorns and golden dresses, a fact I was totally ignorant of (:

  • Unicorns are real, they just exist in a parallel dimension, that glowing orb is a light to bring them through to our realm. Aren’t you lucky you got one for just 20 quid!

    • OH I should have known you would know of the science Moz 😀 Yeah I couldn’t quite believe the deal myself, but it was a good one. Sadly I’ve yet to find anything the unicorns can do for me that I’d find useful… they won’t fetch me anything unhealthy or gore my bette noire (not that I have one, but if I did, that’d be cool).
